Professor Orla Lynskey participates in seminar on EU data privacy law, serious crime, and national security.

On Wednesday, 15 October, GCDC member Professor Orla Lynskey discussed the themes and findings from Nora Ni Loideain’s new book, EU Data Privacy Law and Serious Crime: Data Retention and Policymaking (Oxford University Press, 2025), with a distinguished panel of speakers. The event, titled ‘“Better Regulation” of Data Retention and Human Rights? EU Data Privacy Law, Serious Crime, and National Security’, was organised by the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. Other panellists at the event were Nora Ni Loideain, David Feldman, and James A Baker. The event was chaired by Robert Spano.
