Head of Public Policy and Partnerships
As Head of Public Policy and Partnerships for the UCL European Institute, Lucy works to develop and manage activities which ensure UCL research on Europe has a tangible impact in informing public policy-making in the UK and internationally.
This includes building relationships between UCL academics and public policy stakeholders in the UK and across Europe; identifying and delivering key strategic partnerships and projects; and contributing to the university’s strategic positioning in Europe.
Lucy has a professional background in higher education policy and public affairs. She led European engagement at Universities UK, working to represent UK universities in Brussels and across Europe, including in the EU referendum period and its aftermath. She has also held positions as Director of London Engagement at King’s College London, and as Executive Officer to the Director of the London School of Economics and Political Science, Dame Minouche Shafik.
She holds a BA (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Bristol and a Masters in European Politics, Policy and Society from the University of Bath, Sciences Po and Charles University in Prague, and continues to provide consultancy support for organisations active in international education.
