Bio:
Mr. Kapoor, is a barrister practicing in Toronto Canada specialising in criminal and regulatory law, at trial and on appeal. He frequently appears before the Supreme Court of Canada and Courts of Appeal in various provinces, including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Québec, and Newfoundland. In 2006, he was appointed Commission Counsel to the Air India Public Inquiry and became a security-cleared Special Advocate in 2008. He served on the Prime Minister’s Advisory Council on National Security from 2010 and is an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, with teaching and lecturing experience at the University of Toronto, Oxford University, and various conferences in the UK. Mr. Kapoor has testified before the Senate of Canada Standing Committee on National Security and Defence and was on the Advocates Society’s Board from 2011 to 2014. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the International Society of Barristers, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association.
