About this lecture
One of the oldest rules of international law, the inviolability of the premises of the diplomatic mission has gained prominence in the last years in state practice and in the case law of international courts. The lecture aims to present some of the recent developments in the field by stressing the importance of the rule in current international law.
About the speaker
George Rodrigo Bandeira Galindo is Legal Adviser of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs (Brazil), Professor at the University of Brasilia, Member and President of the Inter-American Juridical Committee, Member of the International Law Commission and Associate Member of the Institut de Droit International.
