Consumer or competition: the role of the competition courts in consumer protection

About the speaker: 
Jess Steele is a partner in Freshfields London antitrust litigation team. She advises on competition and regulatory investigations and competition and commercial disputes, as well as public law disputes, across a range of industries and sectors. Jess is particularly experienced in litigating mass claims and has acted on leading cases in the UK’s antitrust class actions regime before the Competition Appeal Tribunal as well as on appeal. Jess also advises on CMA and European Commission antitrust investigations, including in respect of inspections and investigatory powers. Jess is an experienced public law litigator and regularly represents clients in judicial review proceedings in the High Court. Jess speaks fluent French and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
