Tuesday 27 September @5:00 pm in the Gideon Schreier Lecture Theatre, followed by a reception in the hub outside.
Please join us on Tuesday 27 September at 5:00 pm for a talk by Dr Keith McClelland, co-founder of the Legacies of British Slavery project and co-author of the esteemed book Legacies of British Slave-Ownership (CUP 2014). As a historian, Dr McClelland will discuss the work of the Legacies of British Slavery project, which explores the political, cultural, social, and physical legacies of British slave-ownership.
A Q&A will be moderated by Dr Ian Williams, a legal historian and Associate Professor at UCL Laws. The talk and Q&A will take place from 5:00-6:00 pm.
This event is open to UCL Laws students, staff, and academics from all backgrounds within our community.
This is a great opportunity to begin the academic year together whilst thinking about important issues of race equality.
