About this Workshop
As a follow up to its 2017 European Pillar of Social Rights initiative, the EU Commission has recently presented an unprecedented number of draft directives and regulatory initiatives in the labour law and social policy field. Of noteworthy importance are, in particular, the so called 'Pay Transparency Directive', the 'Adequate Minimum Wages Directive' and the 'Platform Workers Directive' - with accompanying Guidelines on collective bargaining and self-employed workers).
In this workshop, Professor Colm O'Cinneide (UCL), Professor Keith Ewing (KCL - via zoom link), Professor Nicola Countouris (UCL) will present some of the key regulatory principles and provisions contained in these draft instruments and discuss the extent to which the United Kingdom may be able to draw some inspiration from these EU measures'.
