CIArb is proud to announce the release of a new book, “A Brand-New World: The Evolution and Future of Arbitration”. This collection of essays is the work of 30 members of the CIArb's Young Members Group.

In partnership with the UCL Faculty of Laws, CIArb will host a launch event on the night of 19 November 2019 at Bentham House, Endsleigh Gardens, London. Attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the book and have the opportunity to hear from the editors and several of the authors in person.

A truly global effort, the authors hail from Australia, South Africa, Singapore, India, Turkey, France, Italy, Belgium, Kenya, the US, the UK, Malaysia, Lebanon, UAE, Ireland, and Germany. The essays in the book cover topics in international arbitration with a distinctly forward-looking perspective.

Chapters examine issues such as:

  • The future of arbitration
  • Changing technology
  • Space-based disputes
  • Disputes arising from shifting natural resources
  • Arbitration in new fora, such as family, consumer, and banking disputes
