Denys Holland Scholarship Dinner 2018

The Denys Holland Scholarship dinner this year will be held on Tuesday 30 October in the Haldane Room, off the North Cloisters of UCL. Spaces are limited so please reply early to avoid disappointment.

Our distinguished speaker this year is our own Michel Kallipetis QC, who has recently joined the DHSF Committee. Michel is among the UK’s most sought-after mediators and is regarded as an authority in the field. He has experience mediating in a wide variety of disputes including: partnerships, banking; insurance, employment (including racial and sex discrimination claims and pension rights), negligence and personal injuries claims, as well as in construction, engineering and commercial disputes. In 2009 he was made a Distinguished Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators and in 2014 was invited to become a director. Last year Michel was awarded "Lawyer of the Year" in the Mediation category at the 4th annual Who’s Who Legal awards.

The ticket price includes a three course meal and delicious wines, yet again provided by the ever-generous Vincent Cheung. Sparkling wine, courtesy again of Sheila Clark, will be served from 7 pm and dinner will begin at 7.30.

How to Book your Place

Please reply electronically through the link below or return a hard copy form to Lisa Penfold by Monday 8 October. Cheques for the dinner should be made payable to “University College London”; donations by cheque should be made out to “UCL Development Fund – Denys Holland Scholarship”, accompanied by the Gift Aid form attached. The dinner always makes a small surplus but since this is the only fund-raising event we run, we would welcome any extra donation you feel able to make.
