Bank Resolution Regimes – What’s next?
This one day event will explore the ‘evolution of international and national regulatory bank resolution frameworks that were created following the 2007 global financial crisis with a view to ensuring that when banks fail they do so in an orderly manner’.
About this event
Bank resolution is a process by which the authorities intervene to manage the failure of a bank with the aim of ensuring that the adverse effects of that failure are minimised. This conference brings together academics, practitioners and regulators to discuss different perspectives in establishing a bank resolution regime: from recent reforms that are aimed at completing the regime to lessons learned from past bank failures.
Topics that will be covered
- Conditions for entry into resolution
- Banks’ loss absorbing capacity prior to and in resolution
- Identification of impediments to institutions’ resolvability
- Lessons learned from past resolution cases
This event is accredited with 5.5 CPD hours with the SRA and BSB.
