Series: Energy Law Seminar Series
About the seminar
This seminar would deal with the key types of oil and gas service contracts involved in upstream exploration and development, including seismic contracts, drilling contracts and similar arrangments. Liability issues in service contracts would be discussed, including the reaction of oil and gas companies and service companies to recent events. There would also be a discussion of the extent to which the allocation of liability under these types of contracts has been affected by the recent decline in oil and gas prices. Specific issues with certain types of services, including shale-related services, would also be considered.
