About this event

UCL’s Faculty of Laws invites you to a special event at which The Attorney General Jeremy Wright QC MP will ask the question – who is best-placed within our constitutional and legal arrangements to decide what the public interest is – the judiciary or politicians?

In a speech covering his role as the guardian of the public interest, the Attorney General will set out the value that his office provides to the justice system and champion the role of government more generally, including by explaining the rationale for preserving ministerial decision-making on interception warrants in the IP Bill. There will be time at the end of the speech for the audience to ask questions.
