About The Jus ad Bellum and Contemporary Warfare in Ukraine, Syria and Yemen
The involvement of foreign states in the armed conflicts in Ukraine, Syria and Yemen poses vital questions of international law relating to the prohibition on interstate force enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations. UCL Laws is delighted to welcome Professor Yoram Dinstein, author of the classic War, Aggression and Self-Defence (5th edition, 2011), founder and editor of the Israel Yearbook on Human Rights, and one of the world’s foremost scholars of both the international law on recourse to armed force and the international law of armed conflict, to discuss these issues.
