Biography:

Miguel joined the Faculty in 2010, while undertaking his PhD in Legal Theory on a Faculty of Laws Research Scholarship. Previously he was awarded a Pass with Distinction in 2009 on the interdisciplinary MA in Legal and Political Theory offered by the School of Public Policy at UCL. Before that he read for an LLB in Law with European Legal Studies at King's College London and Uppsala Universitet from 2002-2006. Since completing his doctorate in 2017, Miguel has continued to teach the Jurisprudence, Property, EU, and Tort syllabi on the LLB at Bentham House. During that time he has also acted as an Academic Mentor, Associate Editor of the UCL Journal of Law and Jurisprudence, Co-Convenor of the UCL Political Philosophy Working Group, and Co-Convenor of the UCL Legal Philosophy Forum. He was awarded an EXALT award for his teaching in 2018-19.
