Professor Myriam Hunter-Henin delivers keynote lecture at the Centre for Critical Democracy Studies, American University of Paris.

On 19 December 2024, Centre member Professor Myriam Hunter-Henin delivered the closing keynote lecture at the American University of Paris at the end of the conference on ‘Renewing the Social Contract: The Challenge of Inclusivity and Democratic Government in Social Contract Theory’. In her keynote lecture, Professor Hunter-Henin critically explored how the concept of ‘vivre ensemble’ is distorting the egalitarian motivation of social contract theory to redefine constitutionalism as implying adherence to a set of cohesive values.
