The Constitution of Malta at Sixty

On 3 December 2024, GCDC Director Professor Erin Delaney spoke at the launch of The Constitution of Malta at Sixty (edited by Professor Tonio Borg and Dr John Stanton). The book takes an in-depth look at the Constitution, on the sixtieth anniversary of its adoption in 1964. Chapters address the constitution’s historical development, challenges it has faced, and proposals for reform.

Andrew Sciberras (Durham University) also spoke at the event, as did the book’s editors, Dr John Stanton (City St George’s, University of London) and Professor Tonio Borg (University of Malta). The event was hosted by Professor Caroline Morris (Queen Mary University of London) and sponsored by Queen Mary University and the Centre for Small States.
