Bio:

Luísa Pinto e Netto is an Assistant Professor of Constitutional Law at Leiden University. Originally from Brazil, she has over two decades of experience as a State Attorney and legal scholar. Since moving to the Netherlands in 2019, she has held visiting postdoctoral positions at the University of Amsterdam and Leiden University, focusing on fundamental rights in constitutional law.

Her current research, supported by a Dutch government starter grant, explores the evolving role of economic, social, and cultural rights (ESCR) in light of climate change, digitalisation, and inequality. At UCL, she will continue this work as a visiting researcher, contributing to debates on the recognition and legal protection of social rights in contemporary governance.

Luísa holds a PhD in Public Law from the University of Lisbon and is actively involved in international academic networks, including ICON-S and the Netherlands Network for Human Rights Research (NNHRR).
