The great selection of modules was key to choosing to study at UCL Laws. UCL is a reputable university offering many fantastic modules in a historical and vibrant setting. My original attraction to UCL was its specialty in Jurisprudence and it being the home to Jeremy Bentham, an advocate of animal rights.
Graduating was such a positive memory for me. It was a real sense of achievement to attend my graduation ceremony, especially as I deeply value the institution and the subjects I studied. It is also a great environment, full of life and people from all over the world.
To those currently studying at UCL Laws, I would urge you to make the most of your time; it’s a fantastic environment with students from all over the world and you’ll make memories to cherish for years to come! Law can be a stepping stone, offering skills, experience and confidence. Jurisprudence helped me understand the world.
Initially studying Jurisprudence, I became aware of the lack of environmental protections within legal systems which led to me becoming very ecologically aware. Due to what I discovered at UCL, my understanding of the surrounding environment increased rapidly, eventually leading me open an ecological microbrewery and to pioneer an innovative zero-waste drinks solution called Growler Swap, built around quality artisan beverages, especially beer.
