Why did you choose to study at UCL Laws?
I was attracted to study at UCL because of their idea of a truly global community with universal and liberal values, as well as the quality of teaching and its position in global university rankings.
Studying at UCL Laws showed me another way of seeing Law in general. Indeed, because the Professors teach at such a high level, you can examine certain aspects of the Law (how it works, how it is embedded into society, why it is different in some regions of the world) in a way that you did not previously expect. It is immensely enriching and it changes the way you see your future professional work.
How has studying at UCL Laws helped your career?
The LLM at UCL provided me with the necessary strength to take the Bar exam and pass it, and of course, the ‘UCL’ name gave me a lot of professional opportunities within great law firms in both London and Paris - which are two cities I want to share my time between.
What is your fondest memory of your time here?
My best memory was definitely the people I met there, as for the first time in my life I found a true "squad" with the same values, goals and profile as me; and of course, the incredible intellectual challenge in every lecture.
What have you gone on to do since graduating?
Since graduating in 2017, I'm currently qualifying as a barrister and at the same time working as a legal analyst in intellectual property law.
UCL was definitely the best year of my life, both on intellectual and social levels. I'd do it ten times all over again!
