Fabio Piccioni – LLB 1992

Fabio Piccioni

I wanted to study at UCL Laws because the Erasmus Programme at the time was a big draw for me. The highlight of studying here was learning more about the legal and political thought of Jeremy Bentham, whose philosophical ideas contributed to the foundation of UCL.

Since graduating, I have held a number of positions and roles within the legal sector, including: Honorary Magistrate at the Public Prosecutor's Office of Florence; Cassation Lawyer of the Court of Florence; a member of the Order of Journalists of Tuscany. I have also taught Criminal Law at the Specialization School for the Legal Professions, and have authored various publications and monographs on criminal and administrative sanctions law.

My advice to current students at UCL Laws would be to do well in your studies; but also make sure to have fun outside of university life too.
