Bentham House is the historic home of UCL Laws. Following a major redevelopment project, Bentham House now boasts a range of enhanced teaching and learning facilities, as well as new common areas for students and staff - creating an inspiring space for the UCL Laws community to come together.
Out @ UCL
Out @ UCL wish to create an inclusive environment where LGBTQ+ staff, students and visitors can be themselves, which includes feeling comfortable enough to be out. We’re doing this by asking people to become a ‘Friend’ of Out@UCL.
UCL Faculty of Laws and Professor Piet Eeckhout, Dean of UCL Laws, are delighted to be Friends of Out @ UCL.
Professor Eeckhout said:
‘Diversity, equality and inclusion are UCL’s core values. It’s important that we all stand together and make a difference as a Faculty and Institution to ensure that all our staff and students feel welcomed, represented and supported and that we create a completely respectful environment to study and work for everyone. I’m delighted to support Out @ UCL.’
Since 2017, UCL Laws has supported a LGBT+ staff-student network, named OutLaws. This group organises a variety of LGBT+ events each year (research seminars, careers networking, social events, mooting competitions and more). Anyone interested should email Professor Steven Vaughan.
