Our community

Find out more about ways you can get involved in the UCL Laws community, made up of our staff, students and alumni.

OutLaws

Since 2017, UCL Laws has supported a LGBT+ staff-student network, named OutLaws. This group organises a variety of events each year, including research seminars, careers networking, social events, mooting competitions and more.

UCL Laws Race Equality Network

In 2019, the Faculty established a new UCL Laws Race Equality Network for students, staff, and alumni to support Laws’ staff and students from racially minoritised backgrounds, and to help break down barriers to equality of opportunity that have traditionally held back racial minorities in academia and the legal profession more generally.

UCL Laws Feminist Book Club

The UCL Laws Feminist Book Club brings together staff and students at all levels to talk about books in an informal setting. The group holds monthly meetings to chat informally about a work of female-authored fiction.

Green Impact

The UCL Laws Green Impact Committee is a group of students and staff working together to increase sustainability across the Faculty and work towards UCL’s sustainability strategy. The Committee also raises awareness of green initiatives, activities, and events taking place across UCL.
