98% of Foundation Year students receive offers from UCL or other top universities

UCL Undergraduate Preparatory Certificate (UPC) students have once again secured strong offer rates from some of the UK’s best universities, with the support of a dedicated advisor.

98% of students currently studying the Undergraduate Preparatory Certificates (UPC) – UCL’s International Foundation Year, have received undergraduate degree offers from UCL or another leading UK university for 2021 entry.

Cambridge, Imperial College London and LSE were among the other Russell Group universities to make offers to UPC students this year.

Offers were also received from highly competitive courses at The Royal Veterinary College and The Courtauld Institute of Art.

87% of UPC applicants who applied to UCL secured at least one conditional offer, covering degree programmes from 10 out of 11 UCL Faculties:

Rob Doswell, the UPC’s dedicated Education Advisor, said: “In a particularly competitive and challenging year, UPC students have once again secured an impressive range of conditional offers from UCL and other top UK universities.

We guide students through all of the key stages of their UCAS applications, and support them in writing compelling UCAS personal statements to give them the best chance of success.”  

Typically, 80% of UPC student progress to UCL or another Russell Group university, with around 50% staying on at UCL.
