Summer Intensive Language Courses: registration open

You can now register for a UCL Summer Intensive Modern Foreign Language Course, starting on 4 July.

These online courses are designed to improve your language skills and cultural awareness over an intensive two-week period. Classes are taught weekday mornings from 9:00 until 13:00, including a 30-minute break. 

They are ideal if you are preparing to go abroad in the near future, have an interest in languages and culture, or want to make the most of your summer through some personal and professional development.

You can choose to study one of eight languages, including:

• Arabic - beginner
• French - beginner
• German - beginner
• Italian - beginner
• Japanese - beginner
• Mandarin - beginne
• Spanish - beginner 
• British Sign Language (BSL) - beginner - to be confirmed

On completion of the course, you should feel more confident communicating and understanding the target language in a number of professional and everyday contexts, including how to approach authentic material.

All classes are taught by experienced native-speaking academic staff in the UCL Institute of Education.
