Applications open for Pre-sessional English 2021 entry

Application for the UCL Pre-sessional English Courses - offered by the UCL Centre for Languages & International Education - is now open for 2021 entry.

The courses are intended for international students who are planning to study a UCL degree (graduate or undergraduate), but still need to meet the English language conditions of their offer. They also provide students with the key academic skills needed at a UK university, such as critical thinking and conducting independent research. 

Four course lengths

There are four course options available next year: 18, 11, 9 and 7 weeks. The course which students apply to will depend on their current level of English and the requirements of their conditional offer.

Online learning

All Pre-sessional English Courses will be delivered online to ensure everyone’s safety through the pandemic. Students can be confident of receiving the same high-quality teaching as they would face-to-face, following the success of this year’s online courses. 96% of Pre-sessional students progressed to their target UCL Master’s degree.
