An Undergraduate Preparatory Certificate for Humanities (UPCH) alumna, Alice Li, has taken first prize in an undergraduate video competition ran by the Royal Economics Society.  Alice won a cash award of £1000 for her video exploring the concept of universal basic income, beating stiff competition from across the UK.

Following her studies on the UPCH in 2016/17, Alice progressed to an undergraduate degree in Economics at UCL and is currently in her second year.

Alice credited her UPC teachers for her undergraduate success and attributed this award to them, particularly her Economics teacher, Nalini Vittal.

Following her win, she said: "I often think of my year on the UPCH with a smile. I'm very thankful for all the teachers' help and guidance.

Without the UPC, I wouldn't have handled my undergraduate course with ease. A big thank you!"
