  • Academic entry requirements
  • English language entry requirements

Academic entry requirements

You must normally show that you have a strong academic background by demonstrating a minimum of a lower second-class degree (2:2) or an overseas equivalent.

Check whether your overseas qualification meets our general entry requirements.

Entry requirements by country

If your academic qualifications are of a slightly lower standard, we will still consider your application because we carefully consider each application on an individual basis, taking into account all the information presented in your application (including the supporting documents).

Entry requirement of your future degree

If your ambition is to study a Master's degree at UCL, you should check whether your first degree meets the academic requirements of the Master’s degree you want to apply for.

Find the specific academic requirements for your chosen programme in UCL’s degree finder.

English language entry requirements

You must show that your English is sufficient for the course.

We accept the following English language qualifications at the levels specified.

Your English language qualification must not be more than two years old from the IPM start date for us to consider your application.
