21 February 2018
We aren't doing anything new, simply trying out a good idea to get CLIE staff together: A CLIE Film Club.
True to our department's diverse and international ethos, we aim to screen films in all languages taught at CLIE to give us an opportunity to socialise and get to know each other (or at least our taste in films) and maybe expand our cultural horizons!
- Inaugural CLIE Film Club Event - Paris Je T'aime
- Thursday 1st March - 18.00
- Lecture Theatre LG04
Introduced by Christophe Castiglioni.
Acclaimed filmmakers from around the world have five minutes each to capture your attention and draw you into the 18 short stories set in the different arrondissements which make up a tapestry as unique and engaging as the city itself.
The CLIE Film Club producers (Isla, Kimberly & Sam) will bring some snacks (one of them has a tendency to bake things…) however feel free to bring your own snacks and refreshments. All welcome!
Next Event: Tuesday 20 March
Film to be announced, recommendations welcome!
For future events, we'd like your input!
Future dates, should we:
- Pick a fixed date like the first Thursday of the month for example*
or
- Alternate days of the week (dependent on room availability).
Please let us know by emailing Sam Keenan.
