Agile Research Delivery Team

The Agile Research Delivery Team (ARDT) within the JRO are a team of Research Nurses and Clinical Trial Practitioners supporting multiple studies across a variety of specialties within the Trust, including interventional and observational studies.

Support includes (Phase II/III/IV studies):

  • Study set-up from expression of interest
  • Study delivery
  • Obtain informed consent
  • Coordination: liaising with sponsors, maintaining ISF, processing amendments, reimbursements
  • Participant recruitment
  • Drug administration (Research Nurses only)
  • Sample collection and processing
  • Data entry
  • Study close-out and archiving

The team is primarily intended to support non-commercial NIHR adopted studies. Utilising this resource for NIHR commercial studies may be considered in exceptional circumstances. Extensions may be possible depending on team capacity and study requirements.

  • Xenon (epilepsy): drug trial at the National Hospital Neurology & Neurosurgery
  • Elipse (surgical): surgical interventional at Westmoreland Street
  • PETS (surgical focusing on VTE): observational at Grafton Way
  • PRIME (prostate cancer): observational in the Main UCLH Tower

  • HIT-Meso (proton beam therapy): Cancer Clinical Trials Unit
  • ALS Biomarker (motor neuron disease): observational at the National Hospital Neurology & Neurosurgery
  • BADBIR (dermatology): observational in the Main UCLH Tower
  • Rainbow (women's health): observational
  • ROCHE (multiple speciality): observational across the Trust
  • IBHO BioResource (multiple speciality): observational across the Trust
