New JRO dashboard offers overview of UCLH research performance

3 February 2025

A new dashboard from the Joint Research Office provides an overview of UCLH performance against key research objectives.

The dashboard aims to promote transparency around research activity and performance at UCLH for investigators, research managers and clinical divisional leadership teams. It is designed to enable monitoring of research activity and performance in the clinical divisions, and identify areas of research with potential for growth.

The dashboard can be especially helpful if used in combination with other dashboards such as the outpatient attendances trend dashboard.

The dashboard provides data and trends on metrics including number of studies initiating, study recruitment numbers and proportion of open studies that are actively recruiting. There is also a map showing the geographical location of patients who are actively taking part in a UCLH research study.

Watch a 15-minute training video about the dashboard.

The dashboard highlights the fact that participants from all across the UK benefit from research conducted at UCLH.

It also means that staff will be able to pull much of the data they need in the course of their work directly from the dashboard, without having to request it from the JRO data team.

The dashboard was built by JRO Research Data and Information Manager Stuart Braverman and is maintained by the JRO Data team. The dashboard will be updated monthly.

Any queries around use of the dashboard can be sent to: uclh.randd@nhs.net

The dashboard will be updated to reflect the needs of its users. To feedback on the dashboard, or to request an enhancement, please complete this form.
