Practical Statistics for Medical Research course open for registration for 2026

Researchers can now register for 'Practical Statistics for Medical Research’, an online training course for health researchers who wish to learn about the basic principles of study design, statistical methods and their application in biomedicine.

Up to 10 award places are available for researchers from UCLH or UCL Medical School (excluding those on training fellowships). An award offers a reduced fee of £200 per participant. The application deadline is 30 January 2026.
The course is run by the Department of Statistical Science at UCL. The Biostatistics team who run the course is supported by the NIHR UCLH Biomedical Research Centre.
The course syllabus does not assume any deep understanding of statistical terms or concepts.
