Biostatistics Group a key part of UCL REF 2021 submission

The Biostatistics Group at UCL was key to the REF 2021 submission following which UCL was ranked top in the UK for research quality in medicine, health and life sciences and second in the UK across all areas.

The Biostatistics Group contributed to three of the seven impact case studies submitted to REF 2021 as part of the Mathematical and Physical Sciences submission, and two of the case studies submitted as part of the School of Life and Medical Sciences submission.

The Biostatistics Group at UCL, led by Professor Rumana Omar, designs and analyses health studies and conducts research on statistical methodology needed for the solution of biomedical problems.

The Group, which is part of the Joint Research Office, offers statistical collaboration and advice for biomedical researchers at UCL, UCLH and the Royal Free.
