HRA-approved clinical trials to be registered automatically on ISRCTN registry

The process is designed to make it easy for researchers to fulfil their transparency requirements. It is aligned with the HRA’s Make it Public strategy and is designed to guarantee a full picture of research taking place in the UK. 

It is a requirement that all clinical trials register with a World Health Organisation (WHO) recognised registry before the first participant is recruited to a study. ISRCTN is recognised by the WHO as the UK's primary clinical trials registry.
