Applications open to host a stall at UCLH’s Research Open Day 2020
21 February 2020
Researchers can now apply to host a stall at UCLH’s massive open day to celebrate research and innovation on Thursday 2 July 2020, 1pm–4:30pm at University College Hospital.
Click here to download an application form. Forms should be returned to jro.researchopenday@ucl.ac.uk by 5pm on Friday 1 May 2020.
Please note we cannot consider applications received after this date.
The annual event – now in its sixth year – is a fantastic opportunity for researchers to share their work with a wide audience.
Last year over 600 visitors of all ages from the local community, patient groups, schools, and UCLH itself come along – and the day always proves to be a huge success.
Read a review of last year’s open day by clicking here – and watch a video of the 2019 event.
We ask researchers to ensure that stalls are:
- as interactive and engaging as possible
- about research or innovation that is UCLH based
- run by researchers and their teams
- Lots of fun to visit and to run!
We will be looking for activities that are truly engaging for visitors, rather than a simple display of posters and leaflets, and we will be giving out prizes for the best stalls.
Games, challenges or the chance to try out a piece of equipment tend to work very well. Previous successes include having a go at laparoscopic surgery, learning how ultrasound works by searching for items in jelly, and guessing nutritional values in common foods.
