Chief Nurse Research Internships available

29 October 2019

Nurses, midwives and allied health professionals (AHPs) interested in research can now apply for on-the-job research experience by applying for a Chief Nurse Research Internship from the UCLH Centre for Nurse, Midwife and AHP led Research (CNMAR).

Successful applicants will work alongside experienced nurse, midwife and AHP researchers to assist in research in clinical practice. The internships are secondments to the CNMAR for 2 days a week for 12 months. Interns will also have monthly support groups and participate in formal seminar groups to learn research-related skills.

Applicants can choose which research project they would like to work on. There are currently 8 projects, based on stroke and spasticity, nutrition in the elderly, continuity of care and safety in midwifery, and recruitment and retention of nurses and midwives.

Members of staff are eligible to apply if they:

The deadline for applications is 8 November 2019.
