JRO urges researchers to make sure public information about their studies is correct
24 June 2019
The JRO is asking researchers to make sure information on their studies is correct on Edge – our trials database management system – in preparation for the public launch of Find a Study, UCLH’s new trials discovery platform on 4 July.
Trial details on Find a Study which the public will see will be pulled from Edge, and the JRO is asking researchers urgently to:
- Log in to Edge via: https://www.edge.nhs.uk
- Go to your studies
- Check all study information is up-to-date and make any necessary corrections.
Researchers with questions or problems can e-mail uclh.randd@nhs.net.
Find a Study will be accessible by patients and clinicians and will match patients with clinical trials most suitable for them.
Having up-to-date information will mean patients and clinicians see the correct information first time round, and will help with study recruitment.
Find a Study will allow clinicians and patients to see, with just one click, all recruiting trials a patient may be eligible for.
It will also link up with Epic (and be the first trials discovery platform to link with an electronic health record system). With Epic now being used in routine care, it means research studies at UCLH will be much more visible to clinicians and patients.
The public launch of Find a Study will take place at the UCLH Research Open Day on Thursday 4 July – 1:00pm-4:30pm at University College Hospital.
