NIHR Grants for Applied Research changes

The NIHR Programme Grants for Applied Research will now run three competitions per year, it was announced this week.
The reasons for this change include:
- reducing the time between calls for applicants,
- reducing the time taken for research to move along the research pathway,
- addressing the NIHR-wide push to cut application and funding timelines.
Stage 1 applications will open in February, June and October and this change will be in effect from 10 February 2016.
