Talks on Health Research Authority changes for research teams

27 November 2015

Research teams are invited to book a talk from JRO staff on Health Research Authority (HRA) changes to the way studies obtain regulatory approvals and permissions.

The HRA has initiated changes aiming to making approval and set-up of clinical research faster and more transparent. Key changes include the removal of 'repetition' between regulators, sponsors and trusts. The JRO talk will outline the rationale for change and detail how the new process compares to the current one.

The talk will also outline the expectations from sponsors and how UCL and UCLH sponsorship maybe affected.

The JRO aims to meet with key research groups and divisions across UCLH and UCL to outline these changes over the next 3-4 months to explain how they may impact the set-up of new research studies.
