UCLH hub leads appointed

Each hub lead is responsible for promoting the growth agenda for research within their particular clinical area. Each hub lead will also enhance strategic coordination of clinical research as well as supporting feasibility processes for research projects. 

Integral to the role will be close working with the Joint Research Office, UCLH Clinical Divisions and service departments at UCLH as well as the North Thames Local Clinical Research Network.  

The appointed hub leads are: 

• Professor Jeremy Whelan for the cancer portfolio
• Dr Richard Perry for the cardiovascular disease, stroke, renal and metabolic medicine portfolio
• Dr Patrick O'Brien for the women's health, neonates and haematology portfolio
• Dr Jeremy Chataway for the dementia and neurological disorders portfolio
• Professor Nikos Donos for the oral health portfolio
• Dr David Brealey for the anaesthesia, critical care, emergency medicine and respiratory portfolio
• Professor Anne Schilder for the ENT portfolio
• Professor Mike Ehrenstein for the rheumatology portfolio
• Dr Maddy Noursadeghi for the infection portfolio 
• Dr Stuart Bloom for the gastroenterology portfolio 

A new NIHR Network Board for UCLH will be chaired by Dr Patrick O'Brien.
