Workshop on PPI in grant proposals

28 February 2012

The Research Design Service is running a workshop for researchers on how to develop Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in a research proposal.

The workshop, which is on Tuesday 20 March at the Wellcome Collection, is for researchers preparing a grant application for applied health and social care research.

The workshop will cover theoretical and practical aspects of involving patients/users in the research process and will provide an understanding of the methods and resources available to involve patients/users in the various stages of the research process.

Researchers will also have a chance to start developing their own plans for PPI in their own research project, with dedicated support from experienced PPI experts.

Attendance at the workshop, which runs from 10am-4pm at the Wellcome Collection, 183 Euston Road, London NW1 2BE, is free of charge.

For more information and to register online go to the RDS London website or contact Carol Porteous, RDS London Patient and Public Involvement Lead (carol.porteous@kcl.ac.uk).
