Research Design Service announces next clinic for RfPB applications

7 February 2012

The Research Design Service London is running its next RfPB (Research for Patient Benefit) Research Design Clinic on Wednesday 22 February 2012.

The clinic is open to staff in universities and NHS organisations across London who are planning to apply to RfPB Competition 18. Attendance is free and 30-minute appointments can be booked online.

The clinic is three months before the 18 May 2012 deadline which means researchers can get an early review of their proposed study and advice on whether the study is in scope of the RfPB programme. The advisor will provide feedback on its design and, if appropriate, advice on how to ensure a successful submission.

Researchers are asked to provide as much information about their project as possible when booking into the clinic, such as a working title and outline of the study design.

If researchers are unable to provide enough information at least one week before the clinic, RDS London will not be able to book them an appointment. However, researchers can drop in on the day.

After the initial consultation researchers can arrange further time with an RDS London adviser.

If you are planning to submit to another NIHR programme or other funding stream you can still access support from RDS London but please fill out an online support request form as this clinic is specifically for RfPB.

The clinic is 11am-3pm in The Franks/Steel Room, Wellcome Collection, 183 Euston Road, London NW1 2BE.

For more information and to book on line go to the RDS London website.
