Yale-UCL Collaborative hold Cardiovascular Device Innovation Summit

The Yale-UCL Collaborative is holding its Cardiovascular Device Innovation Summit on 17 and 18 January 2013.

 

Discussion will focus on issues central to interventional cardiovascular device development, from early concept to clinical evaluation and market commercialization. The summit is a free, day and a half of interactive discussions with full audience participation focused on EU/US innovation pathways for new interventional devices.

UK policy makers, NIH and NIHR funders, MHRA and FDA device regulators, VC funders, bioengineers, clinicians, legal and both start-up and mature device industry will provide a global perspective on current pathways and "sticking points" to enable and facilitate cardiovascular device development from early concept to clinical evaluation and market commercialization.

Key objectives are to open critical dialogue of experts to provide insight into the global landscape of device innovation in specific therapeutic areas which include: Transcatheter Aortic Valve, Implantation and NeuroProtection devices, Percutaneous Mitral Devices, Next generation Drug Eluting Stents and Bioresorbable Scaffolds.
