Message for researchers and staff from Sanjay Karia, Head of Faculty IT (SLASH)
To provide support for our researchers still working on-site and for staff who require urgent IT support, ISD will provide a skeleton support service at the following locations:
- ICH - Room G21 - 30 Guilford Street, London WC1N 1EH
- Royal Free - Room 1/683 - UCL Royal Free Campus Rowland Hill Street, Hampstead, London, NW3 2PF
- Bloomsbury – 2nd floor east wing, Bidborough House, 38-50 Bidborough St, London
The service provision will include support for any computing hardware and/or any complex software issues. The service will be provided between the following hours of 10:00 – 12:00 and 13:00 – 15:00 initially for WC 23rd and 30th March.
Staff requiring support will be required to log a ticket in the normal way before visiting the above locations.
Please note: We will be monitoring the use of this on-site provision daily and for the health and wellbeing of our staff may stand-down this service in favour of an on-call arrangement if the needs for an on-site support presence is limited. This may of course also happen if there is an official government lockdown of London prohibiting our staff from getting to work on campus.
Any staff member requiring a laptop should contact me and I will process their request with colleagues on-site. Laptops will be distributed from the Bloomsbury campus only [Bidborough House] and will require staff to visit the site.
If any of your staff are planning to work on-site, please could you cascade this message onto them.
