Each topic is written by someone with intimate knowledge of using the analytical technique on real-world data, and reviewed by a member of our editorial board.
The topics are distilled into five one-page briefs which can be read individually or as a package. They are structured as follows:
- The summary brief condenses all the key points onto one page;
- The purpose and theory brief outlines the aim of the method and relevant theory which underpins it;
- The method brief gives step-by-step instructions on how to perform the analysis and mentions any developments or refinements that may have emerged since the method was devised;
- The case study brief illustrates an application of the method to real-world data;
- The resources brief signposts the reader to further material and online resources that can extend the reader's knowledge of the method.
