If you are a student or member of staff at the Institute of Education (IOE) then there is a section of the website dedicated to the IT services available to you.
On Tuesday 25th April, we plan to move UCL’s Single Sign-on service to a new server and update the design. The Single Sign-on service is used for logging into some UCL web applications such as the software database, journals, self-service portal etc.
We don’t expect there to be any impact to you, although the service will officially be “at risk” between the hours of 9am and 1pm. This means that the sign-on page could potentially be unavailable during this time. After the work on the25th April you will see a new look sign-on page.

We are carrying out some work on our Wi-Fi infrastructure across the UCL estate over the next three weeks. The list of dates and affected buildings can be seen below. The changes will occur at 08:00 on the given date. No service impact is expected, but all affected Wi-Fi services (eduroam and UCLGuest) could potentially be unavailable for a short period. The work will finish by 09:00 each day.
ISD would like to apologise for the problems UCL staff have had over the last few days using Desktop@UCL and the N: and S: file stores.
We have continued to monitor the services over the last week and all services are operating normally.
