Research IT Applications
Institutional Research Information System (IRIS)
IRIS is a one-stop shop for information on research activity at UCL. The key focus is the Researcher Profile which combines automatically generated content with researchers' own summaries of their activity.
Research Publications Service (RPS) and UCL Discovery
RPS helps researchers to manage their publications. It 'harvests' publications data from various authoritative online sources to significantly reduce the amount of data entry required to keep publications data up-to-date. First line support for this service is provided by UCL Library Services' Open Access Team; see their website for FAQs and How to guides.
Worktribe Research Management
The Worktribe Research Management system is a new holistic research management system that represents the first step in UCL's Research Management Improvement Programme. Worktribe is designed to support the whole project life cycle from proposal development to post-award management. Implementation will initially focus on proposal development functionalities such as costing, pricing, proposal risk assessment, and approval.
Research Equipment Catalogue
The Research Equipment Catalogue was created by the Office of the UCL Vice-Provost (Research) to encourage equipment sharing and collaboration. It is an online searchable database containing information about all UCL’s major research equipment and facilities. Researchers can find information on equipment items and use an enquiry form to contact the owner.
