Live Storage Access Guide

Introduction

We provide two types of storage in our live storage service. Both storage types are copy-in/copy-out; i.e., no in situ editing of data. Both are created as project space for one or more users to share as a group.

  • GPFS file system (using SSH/SFTP access)
  • WOS file system (using iRODS access)

Your project will be assigned to one of these two file systems upon registration. Each has a different set of interface options, depending on whether you prefer to work from the command line or use a graphical user interface. Please see the access guide below that is relevant for the storage you were allocated and your operating system.
