Video equipment loans

The Educational Media team offer a small number of video cameras for loan to academic staff on a short-term basis, these range from 'GoPro' style action cameras to a 4K 'prosumer' type of camera.

Our media equipment loan service is aimed at academic staff who need to create media content for teaching materials to support lectures, practicals, and seminars. Video recording equipment includes cameras and webcams along with the required accessories such as tripods. microphones and lighting equipment are listed on separate pages.

The Educational Media team can be found in the Cruciform Building, on Huntley Street To make a booking please contact the team. The team are happy to advise you, however please note that it is advisable that all face to face meetings are by appointment only.

Compact Cameras (with video capability)
A compact camera is ideal for 'talking head' style videos, especially where a better quality result is required compared to using a webcam. They are mainly used for vlogging and can be very useful if filming whilst moving.
