Resolved Issues with Outlook/Email - 6th March 2025

Issues accessing Outlook Email affecting many users

Update 6th March 16:00;

This morning there was a UCL-wide issue affecting email. This was due to a global issue within Mircosoft.

Last update from Microsoft: Service is currently performing within expected thresholds, and the service is fully restored for most users.  We are entering a period of monitoring before confirming a resolution.

We have validated with several UCL users who were impacted by the issue and service appears to be behaving as normal, we have had no reported issues since early afternoon.  If you are still experiencing an issue please contact Service Desk.

Impact users saw: 

- Outlook on the web and Outlook desktop client not loading, including when opening or composing email
- Email message delivery delays
- Calendar availability shows only busy status'
- Finding times while scheduling meetings
- Users may be unable to perform searches in SharePoint Online.
