Update 1:30pm 21 November 2019

The problems experienced with Portico have now been resolved. The application is working normally.

Apologies for the disruption caused over the last few weeks.


Update 4:30 18 November 2019

Portico ha been performing normally for more than seven days. We are continuing to monitor the service. We will provide a further update tomorrow.


Update 3:30pm 14 November 2019

Since the problems experienced earlier in the week, and following some further changes made to the system, we have had stable operation for the last three days. We are continuing to closely monitor performance of the service but Portico is currently available and working as normal. We will provide a further update early next week after we have carried out further testing.


Update 5:25pm

Portico/SITS is currently working but is subject to disruption. We are treating this issue as high priority and are closely monitoring the service.

There are currently problems being reported logging in to Portico. We are looking into this as a high priority.

8 November 2019

Update 3:30pm

There have been no further issues with Portico/SITS service. We are still reviewing a number of potential root causes and will continue to monitor the service over the weekend.


7 November 2019

Update 2:30pm

The Portico application has been working normally for the last 48 hours. We are still reviewing a number of potential root causes and we will provide a further update at the end of tomorrow (8 November 2019).


5 November 2019

Update 4:30pm

We are continuing to investigate the issue as a high priority. Services are working as normal at the moment, however Portico may still be subject to disruption.

We apologise for the ongoing issues this disruption is causing.

Update 11:30am

Portico/SITS is currently working but is subject to disruption. We are treating this issue as high priority and will be monitoring the service throughout the day.

Problems are being reported logging in to Portico/SITS. We are looking in to this as a high priority.

4 November 2019

Update 5:30pm

Service has been restored and Portico should be working normally again. 

We have still not identified the root cause of the problem and will be carrying out further tests and monitoring during this evening and tomorrow.

Update 1pm

We are still seeing problems with access to Portico/SITS. This is affecting users attempting to apply for graduate studies. We have identified a number of possible solutions but have not yet identified the root cause of the issue. We are treating this as a high priority and working to solve the problem as soon as possible.

Apologies for the disruption this is causing. We will provide a further update later on this afternoon
